Tasty Tur Dal



Pressure cook 1 katori Tur Dal with 2 katori’s water (or as per desired consistency), ¼ th tsp Turmeric powder and salt to taste.

For the Tadka:
Heat 1 tsp of oil,
To it add hing, jeera, rye, finely chopped Onion (1/4th of a large one), 2 large pods of finely chopped Garlic, 1 green chilly, slit from the middle and kadipatta.
Give the tadka, wait for the 1st boil and switch off the gas.
Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon (or as per taste) stir, eat and enjoy!
*Tastes best with hot steamed rice and ghee
