Ingredients:
3 Tbsps
Channa Dal
2 Tbsps,
Split Green Moong Dal
1 Tbsp, Split
White Urad Dal
1 medium
sized Onion, chopped fine
1 medium
sized Tomato, chopped fine
1 Green
Chilly, slit
Ginger, a
small piece, grated
Salt,
Turmeric Powder and Red Chilly Powder, all to taste
For the Tadka:
1 Tsp Ghee
2 pods of
Garlic, peeled and crushed
Method:
Mix the 3
Dals, wash well and soak for 3-4 hours. Drain out the water the dals were
soaked in.
In a pressure
cooker, add the washed and soaked dals, fresh water, according to the desired
consistency, along with the chopped onion, tomato, chilly, ginger and dry
masala’s and pressure cook till done. *should take about 6-7 whistles*
In a small
pan heat the Ghee, add the crushed Garlic pods and fry for a bit till the pods
start turning brown. Pour over the dal.
Garnish with
chopped coriander and serve hot with Rice or Parathas
